YouTube, the new home of entertainment and time killing for people all over the world of all the ages. Be it Tech Knowledge, Fitness Training, Cooking, Playing Football, watching Humorous videos, seeing Time Square sitting in your home; YouTube has got everything you need.
The new celebrities are rising from this field and more talented people are getting to display all the talent and thoughts they wanted to share with the world. Hollywood or Bollywood are no more the only home of stars.
According to statistics from Fortunelords.com, The total number of people who use YouTube – 1,300,000,000. 300 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every minute! Almost 5 billion videos are watched on YouTube every single day. In an average month, 8 out of 10 18-49 year-olds watch YouTube.
"With great viewership comes great responsibility"
People are bound to keep check on what they are posting as content because many teenagers and children watch those things and get inspired by it.
Logan Paul- one of the greatest Viners on YouTube currently and also one of the most popular YouTuber in the world right now. Teenagers, children, adults- everybody watch those videos he posts everyday on his Vlog channel or his Vine channel,
come on who doesn't?
This had to be showcased to people because for getting newer spicy content and getting to shoot higher in his status, he did something in his last Vlog video which was not at all recommendable. He went to infamous suicide forest in Japan and made a video of a man who committed suicide!
And wait, this was not the hard part either, what he did next was more than just shamelessness. He cracked coarse jokes on that corpse, filmed the entire episode and posted it to his Vlog channel.
Is this what you call newer content?
Is this the entertainment we all have been seeking for?
Is this the episode of life we all want to display?
Watching a man only who has committed suicide is more than just chilling and scary for many of us, but not Logan Paul. He just blurred the corpse and along with his friends made an entirely horrific and un-laughable video of his career.
You can find everything in this world right now, be it supersonic jets or iPhone X; all you can't find is more people with morals and values. Even the imagination of the whole episode is enough to make faint hearted people disgust.
After posting that video on his 15 Million subscriber channel, he gained 80,000 more subscribers. This is where the world is moving to, from watching funny cartoon fails to people watching a corpse of a person who committed suicide.
After posting the video when he found too many negative comments and hatred, he demonetized his video and marked it as his defense for the case. Still when many people commented on Twitter about his wrong doing and after many series of events when his video was taken down, he apologized saying the following speech.
"I want to apologise to the internet. I want to apologise to anyone who has seen the video.
I want to apologize to anyone who has been affected or touched by mental illness, or depression, or suicide. But most importantly I want to apologize to the victim and his family.
For my fans who are defending my actions, please don't. I don’t deserve to be defended.
My goal with my content is always to entertain; to push the boundaries, to be all-inclusive.
In the world live in, I share almost everything I do. The intent is never to be heartless, cruel, or malicious. Like I said I made a huge mistake. I don’t expect to be forgiven, I’m just here to apologize."
The words did made some people melt and forgive him including me, because of his great videos from past.
But will the people who have been affected due to the video can ever forgive him?
People who have witnessed their family member committing suicide can ever forgive him?
Will humanity be ever able to forgive him?
Apologies never heal the wounds, just imagine the sorrow of the family members of that man. How the world would have been for them, their dear one leaving them forever due to his sorrows and people laughing at the film of the entire scene.
This is not a joke or an over exaggeration of his deed, but the true mirror of the damage he has caused to people with a single video. Everything would have been right if he had fled from the scene, never went to the Suicide forest altogether, put the camera down at the turn of events.
But he didn't, all he did is framing a huge injury in the hearts of many people.
World is not that kind to everyone as it is to you, if you are living in the mansion high above the ground then don't mock the people living on ground below you, because you never know what those people have gone through in their lives for getting that place.
I don't know whether people realize it or not but this is one of the biggest blow to sanity.
That day Logan Paul, I don't know whether it's a big deal for you or not, but you lost at least one valuable fan and subscriber from your channel forever.
